Students’ Perceptions of Effective EFL Teachers in a University in Vietnam

Teachers are a vital element in education development as effective teachers central resource for the success of an educational organization. Effective generally help to improve students’ learning behaviors and academic performance, thus attention needs be given examining teacher effectiveness key guaranteed quality. As students first direct stakeholders, should have most influential voice what is regarded teaching. This descriptive study investigated characteristics English perceived by 89 foreign language (EFL) at public university South Vietnam with self-report questionnaire consisting four aspects: proficiency, pedagogical knowledge, organization communication skills socio-affective skills. Overall, indicated positive perception towards required teacher. Two additional aspects were identified including professionalism personality traits. The results this can become aware important teaching qualities from students' points view order themselves meet standards EFL
